Darren Giles has been an integral part of the music scene for over 30 years both in the UK and beyond. Whether it be as a DJ, Producer or as a Broadcaster, he has surfed the waves of musical trends but always returned to his one true love; Disco-infused House, Funk and Boogie. Darren has had major success with numerous labels over the years with his own productions and remixes of other artists’ work plus collaborations with some of the hottest names in the House Music scene today. He is often found working on the keys on his original productions in his own Disco Kid Studios, or immersing himself in the remix process with labels such as Duffnote, Soulfuric, Reelhouse Records, Silocasa and Midnight Riot. He has always travelled the globe to broaden his experiences and support his palette of artistic achievements. Most notably to Australia where his musical knowledge and skills underpinned his far-reaching sets, introducing the land down under to a whole new way to consume a DJ’s skills. Supporting such luminaries as Miguel Migs at the legendary Café Del Mar, he has also worked with his peers including Richard Earnshaw (Duffnote), Brian Tappert (Soulfuric/Traxsource), Jazz-N-Groove, John ‘Julius’ Knight, Grant Nelson, Yam Who? and Todd Edwards to name a few. From the intimate live performances to the maxxed out clubs, Darren can bring the goods to the booth and sell them back to the dance floor. You can find Darren on air with ‘The Boogie Down’ on Friday rotation from 11pm – 1am.
