Ken@Work aka Ken Walker has been many things during his illustrious career in the dance music industry. Over the last 30+ years he has been a groundbreaking DJ, record label manager, radio show host, producer, columnist and magazine editor, just to name a few.
He has a long list of achievements, including ARIA certified platinum & gold albums, and over 20 major compilations/mixed CD releases via Sony, Universal, Warner Music, Vicious Vinyl and EMI.
Ken has been on countless national tours supporting both local & international acts including: Prince, Pink. Rihanna, Jay-Z, Missy Elliott, Snoop Dogg, George Benson, Al Jareau, Earth Wind & Fire, Brian McKnight, Chaka Khan, Randy Crawford, Barry White, Brand New Heavies, Soul II Soul, Kool & The Gang & Incognito. This work has led him to become a staple part of the festival circuit in Australia performing at Summer Dayz, Future Music Festival & Rhumba.
He also has an array of experience in the radio industry as he was the host & producer of the ‘Jamz’ radio show which aired nationally on the Austereo Commerical Network from 2001 until 2008. On top of this, for the past 5 years, Ken has mixed & produced the weekly radio show "Blow Ya Speakers' which reaches to all corners of the globe including New York, London, Milan, Athens, Paris, Berlin & Madrid airing on 21 radio stations. It also streams via Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, IHeart Radio and Tunein Radio.
Ken is a past recipient of the prestigious Ravage Australia testimonial award for excellence & achievement in the Australian Dance Music Industry. Not only that, but he made it onto the Traxsource Top 100 Nu Disco Artists of 2020, amassing 7 Top 10 tracks and 42 Top 100 tracks along the way. Ken has a #1 hit ‘Move On Up’ and another 4 Top 10s & 14 Top 100 tracks on Traxsource. His track ‘Nobody’ was ranked #4 in the Beatport Top 100 Nu Disco Tracks of 2019 and he was also on the Traxsource ‘One’s To Watch” list for 2021.
