This landmark show forms part of the band’s Golden Jubilee Tour, marking five decades of electrifying audiences across the UK and Europe. Featuring the original founding members, Bill ‘Fatback’ Curtis and Gerry Thomas, reaffirming the group’s enduring authenticity and influence. In recognition of his immense contribution to music, Bill Curtis was inducted into the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame in 2023.

Renowned for their extraordinary output, The Fatback Band have released more than 35 albums across multiple decades. Their catalogue spans early 1970s funk through Disco, R&B and Soul, showcasing a rare ability to evolve while staying true to their ‘Funk’ roots. Their influence reaches far beyond their hundreds of thousands record sales: the 1979 track “King Tim III (Personality Jock)” was the first commercially released Hip Hop recordings, predating “Rapper’s Delight” and securing the band’s place in music history.
