Robbie Casa Blanco & Matt Campbell with Boogie Wonderland

Matt Campbell BIO

Based in Melbourne, Australia, DJ Matt Campbell has been DJing since 2000 and collecting records since the mid-1990s. Matt credits his older brother as his main musical influence, recalling how his brother’s collection of house music sparked his passion for the genre. He vividly remembers hearing the classic Masters At Work track “To Be In Love” and India’s soulful, high-pitched vocals, which became a defining moment in his love for house music.   Specialising in disco, soulful vocal house, and main room house, Matt has been a fixture in Melbourne’s club scene since the early 2000s and has also played interstate with residencies and Sydney and Adelaide. Over the past two decades, he has held high-profile club residencies in Melbourne and enjoyed a successful radio career with Robbie Casa Blanco on Australia’s KissFM for many years.   Over the last five years, Matt has been a Defected and Glitterbox resident in Australia, supporting National /  international DJs like Dr Packer, Todd Terry, Louie Vega, Riva Starr, Sam Divine, Mike Dunn, Low Steppa, Ferreck Dawn, Natasha Diggs, Melvo Baptiste, and Simon Dunmore.   To add to his resume throughout Matt’s career, he has also shared the stage with other legendary names such as Dave Lee, Late Nite Tuff Guy, Casual Connection, Peking Duk, Venga Boys, Masters At Work, Frankie Knuckles, Groove Assassin, Miguel Migs, Richard Earnshaw, John Julius Knight, Peggy Gou, James Curd, Alan Thompson, Audiowhores, Paul Farris, DJ Falcon, Knee Deep, and Ron Carroll, among others.   In addition to his club work, Matt has demonstrated his versatility by having an alter ego and co-founding Discovery - Daft Punk tribute show 13 years ago playing for Ministry of Sound and Pacha, which has taken him on tours across Australia, Asia, New Zealand, and parts of Europe.

Robbie “Casa” Blanco BIO

Robbie “Casa” Blanco has been DJing since 1986. He started off in a North London Pub in Muswell Hill called the Steam Rock Café using tape decks and domestic turntables. His first residency was in 1993 to 1994 at the Dorchester Hotel London.

Robbie eventually emigrated to Melbourne Australia in December 1994, where he moved between clubs and KISS FM Melbourne. Stylistically, he has always lent towards Disco and Soulful House, being a collector of anything Disco, Boogie, Rare Groove, Acid Jazz, Soulful House and Latin.

His remixing started way back in 1997 for his own DJ sets, starting off with basic little re-edits and overdubs and finally by 2017 he launched his own record label Redux Inc, releasing, on vinyl only, his multitrack remix of ‘Shake your Body Down to the Ground’ by The Jacksons. This was quickly followed by remixes for Lenny Fontana and Shirley Lites, Raquel Rodriguez, The O’Jays & Linda Clifford. In 2024 he collaborated with Dr packer to release a rework of Jump to the beat – Stacy Lattisaw which was well received.

Our message is in the music, we are one family under a groove! Street Sounds has had vinyl running through its veins since 1982.
