Simon Bennett
Simon’s broadcasting background began at some of London’s major radio stations.
His first DJ gig was at Roller City in Welwyn Garden City, hosting weekday and evening sessions with a mix of disco, house, funk and soul. During this time, he met Graham Gold and began producing Gold's specialist shows on London’s KISS 100 (answering phones, making coffee and filling in PRS sheets!). Simon also worked alongside Judge Jules at KISS.
- Daytime (7.00am -7.00pm): An aural feast of the greatest music of black origin from the 70s, 80s, 90s & let’s not forget, there are also some great sounds from the noughties & twenty-tens.
- Evening (7.00pm -1.00am) & Weekends: Specialist shows.
- Night (1.00am -7.00am): Taking our listeners through the night to the early hours of the morning, the most soulful collection of slow jams.
Our message is in the music, we are one family under a groove! Street Sounds has had vinyl running through its veins since 1982.
